Bought this audio book by accident and finished it while working, not bad for listening when you are really bored...

a discovery of witches is an interesting story, a combination of witchcrafts and vampires and history. But it’s poorly told in the book, the writing is too plain. However, the TV series is beautifully done.

研究supernatural的曆史學傢寫的女巫小說。愛情綫像Twilight, 女主父母雙亡就像Harry Potter，中間曆史與解迷像達芬奇密碼，女巫與吸血鬼的DNA和生命進化結閤在一起還是蠻有趣的，最後穿越伊麗莎白一世年代聯想到Doctor Who，也許每個曆史學傢都有穿越的夢想。但是閱讀過程當中覺得描述性的文字比較纍贅，還加入瞭大量古代方言，拉丁文之類的，這些都影響閱讀進度。

總的來說還是一部言情小說，有幾處設定我個人很喜歡：男女主的學術背景設定、女主傢有生命的房子以及小說中很多涉及到生物、曆史、科學方麵的知識都很有意思。Rebecca Bishop在整部書中的影響力讓人想到瞭希區柯剋的電影Rebecca。小說的中後段的兩處描寫很感人：女主在受難時腦中閃迴瞭兒時媽媽睡前給自己講的童話故事，一個包含瞭希望、力量和愛的，同時帶有預言性質的故事；男女主血液相融的畫麵堪稱全書最震撼同時也是最血腥的畫麵之一，期待電視劇的呈現效果。對於該小說最想吐槽的地方主要是作者塑造人物的失敗，人物性格前中後期的變化缺乏閤理的過渡，同時書中還充斥著大量無意義且對劇情推動毫無幫助的情節。

三周读完了Trilogy，不看暮光的人居然跑来看这部Trilogy，得益于最近看不进正经书和男女主的设定。看起来很颠覆以往的吸血鬼/巫师的书和剧。吸血鬼有那么长的生命用来干什么好呢？答案是学习啊！Matthew在牛津就在各大学院当过N次fellow，现在是All souls的fellow，在4个各领域...
