户外旅行的佳作，处处透着睿智、幽默、犀利以及惊人的博学，从阿巴拉契亚小道延伸开去，堪称美国近代自然史的小百科。可惜翻译实在不敢恭维，语句近乎直译，生硬拗口，有些句子又长又别扭让人差点一口气提不上来，还有错别字，糟蹋了一本好书。接力出版社，望再接再厉。

开年时40块淘的原著，很小的一本书，像书评人说的，完全可以也值得被装到行囊里伴你旅行。间断的花了约25天读完全书394页，读完很感动。我从未徒步爬过几座山头，向来登山也只一次一座而已，早出晚归。曾用电子设备记录过自己的步数，最多一日十三公里，还依稀记得当天走完累...
