News From Nowhere was published in 1890. William Morris has written a utopian novel about a futuristic communist society. A workers revolution has destroyed capitalism. The author describes the encounter between a visitor from the nineteenth century, William Guest, and a decentralized and humane socialist future. In this story nature and society have become beautiful companions for humanity. Morris was at the peak of his political activism period and he expressed his views on art, family, community, nature and the structure of the ideal society.
