About the book
The Subterranean Gods distinguishes Cristovan Buarque's definitive entrance on the modern post-fiction sphere. By uniting scientific fiction resources, and the construction of intellectually motivated characters, Cristovan Buarque managed to weave a net of intrigues, where the contemporary world's contradictions' echoes. He creates cybernetic heroes when exploring the human mind in connection with a complex computerized matrix, which's central memory comes from the gods. He includes, on th dilettante adventure of enthusiastic students, an international adventure involving nations with identity crises after the East's overthrow. The fictional art resides on the artful involvemnet of the reader with the discussion of literature everlasting themes, like life, death, the power of art, the being's autonomy in face of the god's actions, whose survival, on the other hand, depends on the human conscience. Curiously, the novelist makes the whole plot spin around a strategic space:Brasilia, with its rational power and its magical surroundings.
