Max loves playing in the sun; but when the sun sets, Max has to go to bed--and the moon comes out to watch over him. Then when Max rises again the next day, the sun is up and ready to greet him. Illustrating the cycles of the sun and the moon, this charming bedtime story delightfully explains the relationship between the celestial bodies that light both day and night to young children.
