What is a Treevipus? An amazing creature with the head of a trunkfish, the body of a weevil, and the tail of a platypus, of course. In this delightful book, ten recognizable animals — platypus, baboon, alligator, weevil, opossum, caterpillar, crab, rhinoceros, trunkfish, and ruby-topaz hummingbird — are divided into independently flappable parts that, when aligned, create enough creatures to keep little ones engaged for hours. A brief text offers amusing "facts" about the hybrid animals. Author/artist Tony Meeuwissen adds sound zoological information, and the book’s stout construction can withstand the repeated flips it is sure to endure.
