We are taken into a world that neither we nor the author knows to exist or is prepared for. It is a place where all of the finer things in life have taken hold and where the American dream lives out to its fullest potential. Things are not all they appear and a much darker side of the truth is revealed. Through the authoras eyes we are left to mourn not only the loss of innocence but perhaps something greater altogether. If the setting is truly paradise then it has altogether become a paradise lost.
