Having moved into an old house, Callie meets two little orphan monsters living in the attic. They become friends, and one day, out of nowhere, a shooting star plunges from the sky, and an owl and a stork appear before them. They are told they must embark upon a journey with the stork to the aUnited Provinces of Twelve Monthsa to look for the two little monstersa parents. Each province is occupied by different beings: Snowmen, Penguins, Chickens, Pigs, Buffalo, Dwarves, Elves, Fairies, Mermaids, Humans, Witches, and Wizards; reflecting different aspects of our own world. Every province teaches children to relate to various issues in the world around them and hopefully enables them to understand the differences between all people and various cultures. Hopefully, the book reaches out to all age groups and in a way helps to break down the fundamental barriers between everyone.
