著者简介

This is Zoe Ferraris's first novel. She moved to Saudi Arabia in the aftermath of the first Gulf war to live with her then husband and his extended family of Saudi-Palestinian Bedouins, who had never welcomed an American into their lives before. She has an MFA from Columbia University and currently lives in SanFrancisco.

I never knew on the other side of the world, women are so oppressed. Now I know more about Saudi Arabia. It might be biased, since the author only lived there for two years. The ending seems abrupt to me. but overall, it's a good detective story. I stayed up until 2am to have finished reading it.
