著者简介

菲利普•瑞弗（Philip Reeve）

1966年出生在英国海滨城市布莱顿。他先后在剑桥艺术和科技学院、布莱顿理工学院学习插画。他绘制的《要命的数学》《可怕的历史》和《绝对名人》等丛书使他一举成名。迄今为止，由他绘制插图和撰写幽默文字的图书已达40多部。

2001年凭借青少年文学处女作《致命引擎》系列小说，征服了挑剔的英国编辑和读者，并斩获雀巢聪明豆9-11岁图书大奖。2008年，凭借《少女骑士变身记》获得卡内基儿童文学奖。

自2006 年开始，瑞弗创作了《云雀之光》（Larklight），一部“维多利亚时代太空冒险”的儿童文学作品。这次作者将故事的背景设在外太空，讲述一对兄妹和太空海盗一起拯救世界的故事。其后作者又分别在2007 和2008 年完成了系列的续集《迷失星际(Starcross)和《狂蛾之境》(Mothstorm)。

《云雀之光》三部曲一经推出便备受瞩目，已由好莱坞华纳兄弟公司购买电影改编权，单部投资达2亿美元。
