库珀的《刺客》写的不错，《最后一个莫西干人》是在看了电影之后才看的原著，从主旨来说，小说更具神采——当一个民族的神灵都受到亵渎与践踏的时候，她该消亡了...殖民是黑暗的，自由与美好再让人热血澎湃，终究要湮没在必将到来的阴霾中。

虽然是有名的小说，虽然号称《皮裹腿故事集》中最经典的作品，但是我再三努力，最终还是没能读完。 还是时代的关系吧，这种叙述中夹杂许多议论的叙事方式，旧时代繁复的礼节、比喻和做派，还有无处不在的白人的种族优越感，不熟悉的印第安部族与殖民史，都影响到阅读的流畅感...
从图书馆借来的原版书，里面不认识的单词一大堆。但是看下来以后觉得还是很不错的，很容易投入至作者描述的那个环境当中去。
