By 1983 - the centennial of the birth of both men - Forbes christened Schumpeter, not Keynes, the best navigator through the turbulent seas of globalization. Time has proved that assessment accurate. "Prophet of Innovation" is also the private story of a man rescued repeatedly by women who loved him and put his well-being above their own. Without them, he would likely have perished, so fierce were the conflicts between his reason and his emotions. 为什么向他们在学术上有着辉煌成就的人的个人生活也会如此charming呢，尤其是在 McCraw的笔下。熊彼特对经济的贡献，对我的感觉，更像是提供了经济学之“道”，而不是凯恩斯的经济学之”法“。只可惜他的理论贡献貌似不是他生活的那个年代可以理解、驾驭的了的。熊彼特强调经济学科的学习不要忘记对历史、以及资本市场的理解，只可惜现在的经济学研究已然是数学模型与经验主义得天下了，但这样的研究有多少可以称得上是传世之作呢？ PS 当时民国政府的政治复杂程度就连普利策奖得主 McCraw也没能缕清，在书中写错了人物间的关系。LOL

虽然熊彼特没有如凯恩斯、哈耶克那么大的名气，但他提出的经济学观点确实可以跨越意识形态。管你是凯恩斯大战哈耶克，还是哈尔克大战凯恩斯，其结果都是熊彼特胜！核心观点，颠覆性创新、企业家精神、信用制度等等，都在用历史去证明，更重要的是在现在与未来去实践。
