作者简介
宝琳娜·西蒙斯（Paullina Simons），出生、成长于列宁格勒。20世纪70年代全家移居美国。她的《塔利》（Tully）、《红叶》（Red Leaves）、《十一个小时》（Eleven Hours）及《青铜骑士》都是国际畅销书。她曾在罗马、伦敦、达拉斯居住，现定居纽约。她的一个孩子亦以《青铜骑士》的女主角“塔季雅娜”命名。

欧根是《青铜骑士》中的唯一出场的人物，自然是当之无愧的主角。”在某一处任职，一个要人也不认识，既不向往死去的祖先，也没有叹息已逝的流年“，通过这些描写，诗人向我们塑造了一个出身卑微，贫寒忧郁的社会底层人物形象。
当我看到青铜骑士这书名的时候，首先浮现在眼前的是欧洲许多著名城市的广场，在那里通常有着这样的雕塑，而那个骑士常常是他们的国王、英雄，或者神话中的人物，总之那是一个伟大的象征，象征着这个国家和民族伟大的精神。也许对于欧洲那些国家来说，我有所些了解却不太深入的...
