The Freeway is a collection of poems written by the author. The poems all link together with the common theme of a journey - we are, after all, on a Freeway. On first reading the poems seem to concern themselves with emotions felt during a journey - facing traffic jams, punctures and observing the passing wildlife. However, the journey one goes on whilst reading the poems reveals emotions, such as disappointment, rejection and confusion. All is not doom and gloom though, as there are plenty of positive ideas such as love, companionship as well as the thrill of travelling.
