此書已經有瞭中譯本，但不知譯得如何。當當網是把此書當成一本建築材料物理學的書來介紹的。而真實的內容，是一群建築史學傢在討論石頭作為材料，之於現代建築的價值、意義、挑戰。第一位作者是密斯的傳記人，然後就是吉迪翁的秘書的文章。。。。明顯偏重對於石材的實在屬性而不是什麼去物質性的研究。。。。起碼，原著是好書。
