Real estate agent and divorcee Paula Hanson is currently trying to cope with two issues: a slump in real estate sales, as well as entering into her fortieth year of life. At her friend Gretaas insistence, they attend a series of motivational classes geared toward teaching them how to deal with and move on in life effectively. Then Troy Brooks appears, wanting to sell his large, beautiful, expensive house. Paula gets the listing, but soon discovers she is strongly attracted to the man, too. Brooks, a widower for the past year, is also drawn to Paula, and together they attempt to determine the truth about his late wifeas death, but soon find themselves in treacherous territory when clues lead them to the county commissioner.
