A Soviet lunatic holding a grudge from Vietnam flies a similar squadron of MIGs. But that s only the top layer of plot, and new layers peel off almost endlessly. Bizarre, ridiculous, full of holes, but a thorough page-turner filled with in-jokes, fighter-jock slang, and loony technoflash. Recommended, but not to be taken seriously.
