评分书名不是很达意，与物种起源相比，没那么晦涩难懂。我是躺在被窝里一口气看完的，挺精彩，配着《达尔文的证据》看，感觉还不错。能够起到增长知识，开阔眼界的作用。当作《物种起源》的导读也是不错的。参考资料很全。我是把他当故事书看的。

好书推荐。很多时候我们只知道去支持或者去反对，却并不知道为什么支持为什么反对，不去理解事物的本身是如何，为什么正确为什么错误，以及何处有局限何处又很合理。

评分不了解译本(但名字我认为就翻译得不妥)，看的原著，觉得写得非常系统，语言也很好懂，不需要太高英语阅读水平。非常不错的科普读物，深入浅出，里面关于进化论的切入点与很多这类型的书籍不太一样，令人眼前一亮。看完以后让我更加觉得生命如同史诗一样壮丽。五星好评。然后就是想说，这是大众读物呀，不是学术著作。
