非常结构化，写得非常工整好读流畅的一本糅合了社会与医药的书。适合做医学史教材！

文字完全没有故意文艺的感觉, 故事讲得引人入胜. 主要还是讲故事, 不太有抽象分析. 疫病对Napoleon在非洲在俄国的军队的打击, 意大利的霍乱, 美国的肺结核都是我原来知道得很少的事, 这本书里都描述得很详细.
