终于才读到十二章的时候大概打算放弃了，就算是社会纪实也是时间空间都遥不可及的。然后放了几天。一次性读完了接下来的部分。后两章才是本书的重头戏吧，大意是关于纯理想化的乌托邦，充满了看似滑稽的必然和忧虑。还有共产主义必然性的说辞并没有说服我。很多观点还是很有想...  

奥威尔的《通往威冈码头之路》（1937）可以说是他的第一本畅销书，作为“左派读书会”的推荐书，共销售了4万多册，主要是会员购买。但因为受读者群及题材所限，实际上这本书当时在整个读书界的影响并不大，作者也并未凭借这本畅销书成为衣食无忧的成功作家，他还要等上近十年，...  

奥威尔探访贫民窟后写成了这本书，应该算是Down and Out in Paris and Lodon的姊妹篇吧。总的来说不推荐，除非是对英国当时的底层社会有兴趣。比起奥威尔的其他作品，这本无论在思想深度还是在描写层面都只能说很一般。但依然有两点让我印象深刻。 在书的上半部分，奥威尔感...
