competent ways—he,bu【not all young writers.More and more of these
glrteQ young people seem to be falling out of love with the short—cut
mechanical methods and are trying to get back to the old traditions.
which,I suspect,IS why the Editors of The Writer have asked me to
descnbe my own Chekhovian and tortoise ways.These are not,I hasten
to add,“dictates”--all authors are different--but ways that I have
found rewarding for myself.
