"Look at me, Noelle," Colby said quietly.
Slowly she lifted her head until she was staring
into his eyes. And in the shimmering reflection
of the skyline lights she could see a fire flicker-
ing amid the green depths. The sight started a
burning deep within her body. "What is it? ~ she
whispered.
~When you signed that contract, you became
my client. But the minute I met you, you became
much more." He lowered his head, bringing his
mouth tantalizingly close to hers, and when
he spoke his voice was rough. "It took about
two blinks of those brown eyes for me to begin
to crave you in the worst possible way.~
His breath fanned over her lips, heating her
inside and out. Without thinking, she went up
on her toes and lightly touched her mouth to
his.
He could barely call it a kiss, but it sent a
bolt of electricity through him. Then she did it
again, and he forgot everything but the taste of
her lips as he pulled her into his arms.
She was consumed with a hot hunger that
burned reason right out of her. He tasted like
desire. He tasted like need. And all she knew
was that she wanted more...
