2011-09-13 这本书大篇幅从经济宗教入手解释印度政治包括选举、军事、外交等现状，结尾小篇幅描述文化生活，偏向综合性、整体性的论述。因此，本书较适合的读者为对印度民俗生活有一定了解的人群，并不太适合对印度没有任何直观体验的读者，前者正可以通过这本书把零碎的见闻串...
评分这本书最大的特点，就是内容全面，权威，也许还要加上：很有时效——这是印度2006年的畅销书之一，延至一年后才出了中文版，出版操作算是快的吧。毕竟这不是《哈利波特》，出版商不可能追求如此的速度，而且中信出版社的翻译质量应该比较靠谱（新星出版社的新书翻译就差多了）...
