Jeffer Archer never let me down. he is knowledgable and has much life experience in different ranks, that's why he can understand what peasant want, while a country boy turns to be a gentleman, Jeffrey arranged him a wonderful and stunning life. hope one day i can see Jeffrey on spot!!!!

同事借来说这本书怎样怎样好看，读了一半，也没发现真有那种环环相扣的情节，也许是自己心不够静过于浮躁吗？再继续看下去，终于看出原来是类似基督山伯爵的故事，但是结构不够紧密，很难抓住读者的心。甚至觉得情节有些拼凑，尤其是怎么可能那么明显的问题法庭居然没有发现...

集谋杀、越狱、复仇于一身的故事，真正的亮点却来自审判。斗智不斗勇，严肃不枯燥，随处体现着一个大不列颠老混子的睿智和幽默。

其实想给三星半，蛮有可读性。画面感很强，大概类似影视剧作品看多了。。。喜欢文末审判那一段，有正义感的辩护律师那满满的帅气隔着纸张都能感受到。"But then, m'lord, we all suffer in our different ways from being prisoners of birth. " 老男人说起话来老有气势了。
