The legendary 1951 scroll draft of "On the Road," published as Kerouac originally composed it IN THREE WEEKS in April of 1951, Jack Kerouac wrote his first full draft of "On the Road"atyped as a single-spaced paragraph on eight long sheets of tracing paper, which he later taped together to form a 120-foot scroll. A major literary event when it was published in Viking hardcover in 2007, this is the uncut version of an American classicarougher, wilder, and more provocative than the official work that appeared, heavily edited, in 1957. This version, capturing a moment in creative history, represents the first full expression of Kerouacas revolutionary aesthetic.

杰克·凯鲁亚克（Jack Kerouac, 1922-1969），1922年3月12日，凯鲁亚克出生于马萨诸塞州洛厄尔，父母为法裔美国人，他是家中幼子。他曾在当地天主教和公立学校就读，以橄榄球奖学金入纽约哥伦比亚大学，结识爱伦·金斯堡、威廉·巴勒斯和尼尔·卡萨迪等“垮掉的一代”。
凯鲁亚克大学二年级退学从事文学创作，并辗转于美国海军和商用航运公司等处。1950年，第一部小说《乡镇和城市》出版。1957年的《在路上》问世后，他成为“垮掉的一代”的代言人，跻身二十世纪最有争议的著名作家行列。他还著有《达摩流浪者》、《地下人》、《孤独的旅人》和《孤独天使》等作品。
1969年10月21日，凯鲁亚克在佛罗里达圣彼得堡去世，享年47岁。

评分读完居然没想歪，Sal和Dean 扎扎实实就是兄弟情。Sal一直向往Dean,像是憧憬一种他所不能去的生活，他无法承受的堕落和疯狂，淋漓尽致体现在Dean的身上，接近Dean就像无限接近自己的另一种可能，某种程度上他是在Dean的身上让另一个自己活着吧。
评分非常好！中文翻译版看过，读不下去。英文原版完全是另一本书。50周年原版，可以看到作者初稿的文句，包括作者最初的typo，原样重现。
