去年從倫敦西區買迴來的劇本，復活節假期宅在傢兩個下午+晚上讀完。非常喜歡，非常感動。《霍華德莊園》的人物和故事被巧妙的轉化和嵌套進這個2010年代紐約同誌圈的故事裏。87年艾滋病潮過去30年後當今的紐約，特朗普當選/進入特朗普時代背景下的 gay community 的生活與生存、愛與掙紮，上下兩部7小時的史詩結構，這是我們當下2010年代版本的《天使在美國》。而對30年前的大流行病災難的重新審視和反省，在新冠病毒全球肆虐的今天，讀起來有著更加深切的體會。《霍華德莊園》裏的栗子樹和這部戲裏的櫻桃樹下都種瞭豬牙，傳說/迷信的承繼，是對未來生活嚮往的延續。無論何時，真正可以一直繼承下去的“遺産”，是愛的能力和重新開始的信念和勇氣。”Welcome home, Eric.”

真的太好太好瞭，一次死去活來的閱讀體驗（6小時）劇本非常流暢，作者把gay community 的過去現在未來講的詳實、豐滿，閱讀時很多gay film裏的鏡頭不斷閃現。The inheritance這個名字實在太精準，新年第一個遺憾就是沒有在倫敦看這個劇????（二刷再摘抄
