When Jessica Farris signs up for a psychology study conducted by the mysterious Dr. Shields, she thinks all she’ll have to do is answer a few questions, collect her money, and leave. But as the questions grow more and more intense and invasive and the sessions become outings where Jess is told what to wear and how to act, she begins to feel as though Dr. Shields may know what she’s thinking…and what she’s hiding. As Jess’s paranoia grows, it becomes clear that she can no longer trust what in her life is real, and what is one of Dr. Shields’ manipulative experiments. 題材剛開始看挺新穎的，後來發現越來越老套。我感覺最後三分之一的部分懸疑氛圍有上來，但是前半段真的節奏很慢，以兩個人的視角展開敘述，一個是參加試驗者jess，一個是心理醫生Dr Shields，兩個人講述一件事，但相互補充細節，還挺好的。 但是懸疑小說嘛，你總是在等著作者放大招，等著揭秘那個大轉摺，但是這本書的幾個轉摺我要不然是提前預測到，要不然覺得一般般沒有很厲害。完全沒有《the wife between us》的轉摺過癮唉！！
评分為什麼要嘗試？the wife between us就看不下去，這本的文筆還是沒有提高。再也不給這作者機會瞭。
