史蒂芬·平克（StevenPinker）
世界级语言学家，哈佛大学心理学教授，科普畅销书作家，TED演讲人。被《时代周刊》《外交政策》《展望》等多部知名杂志称为“世界上最有影响力的知识分子”。
因其在视觉认知和心理语言学方面的杰出研究，赢得来自美国国家科学院、英国皇家学会、美国心理学会、美国认知神经科学学会、美国人本主义协会的多个奖项。获过四个荣誉博士学位和数个教学奖项，其撰写的8部大众科普图书也屡屡获奖、部部畅销。

My first read by Pinker and what a lucid, instructive piece of work! This book is not easy. It gives a deep analysis on what writing is, a compelling introduction to the classical style, a paradigm-shifting approach to grammar, and finally, a comprehensive review of the various writing tools. It’s certainly the best writing guide I’ve read to date!
