著者简介

Ronan Farrow is an investigative journalist who writes for The New Yorker and makes documentaries for HBO. He has been an anchor and reporter at MSNBC and NBC News, and his writing has appeared in publications including The Wall Street Journal and The Washington Post. He is a winner of the Pulitzer Prize, the George Polk Award, and the National Magazine Award, among other commendations, and has been named one of Time magazine's 100 Most Influential People. He is also an attorney and former State Department official. He lives in New York City.

作者是编码+传话筒的角色.反正这种话题庞大无边际谁都能唠嗑两句的...知道这个名字是因为RF一营业..Joi Ito失业啦..佩服的很！一个油腻东亚男完全没有才华和能力做事情的..浪费了无数资源搞些莫名其妙无根基的项目来aggrandize his ego.不知道ML留着他到底是为什么..他是个官迷眼里只有名利的..和清华syg北大ry一个模子刻出来里的啦...争院士争经费争媒体赞美..年轻人傻韭菜崇拜的不得了..很同情年轻学生和做研究的学者..一腔热情来到波屯..结果灌了一脑子的水..被日本马云恶心了一把....这世道..哈哈

屁股问题，偏见和虚伪是免不了的。但是采访花了很多心血，讲的故事也很有意思。

我是真的很喜欢作者的文风，整体上平实严谨简洁利落，偶有神来之笔的毒舌吐槽，又让人拍案叫绝。以后他如果有新书，只要不是完全不感兴趣的领域，应该都会入手。但也得承认本书写得还是略浅，只是罗列了诸多事例，勾勒出美国传统外交式微，让位于军事和情报力量这个现实的轮廓，没有什么深入的剖析和探讨。另外我得吐槽，Ronan你可别再自己读有声书了，还是让专业人士来吧……

Holbrook去世之后的半本真的很像凑数的。博弈纵横的年代过去了，现在是为失控买单的年代，政治强人的出现和军事力量的勃起不是和平式解决方案失效的结果，是这种方式渐渐淡出的起因。如果权力攫夺和暴力可以暂时性压制一切，为什么要等三十年五十年后才能渐渐看出效果的结构性改革发挥作用？反正买单的是下一辈，那就是下一辈的责任，我们只要暂时的和平就可以。
