著者简介

約翰‧哈威 John Harvey

1938年出生於倫敦，是小說家，也兼有詩人與劇作家身份。

在諾丁罕大學取得碩士學位後，曾在中學教授英文與戲劇，後轉而從事專職寫作。並於1980年代返回母校，教授電影與文學。作家生涯創作過百餘部作品，其中最為人熟知的是犯罪推理系列。

尤其又以「查理‧芮尼克探案」系列小說最為膾炙人口。

第一部作品《寂寞芳心》，甫出版便廣受矚目，獲英國BBC改編為影集，並登上英國泰晤士報的二十世紀百大犯罪小說榜。第二部作品《變調人生》，亦入圍英國犯罪小說作家協會金匕首獎。

2007年，英國犯罪小說作家協會再度頒發表彰終生成就的鑽石匕首獎，推崇他為「犯罪作家中的犯罪作家」。
