為瞭對照看G的方法派評論（更生敬意，感覺G發脾氣，mumble，注意車廂裏熱心時政的意大利人都是在體驗勞倫斯的生活，不過呢，g提取的比如最後一刻作決定的突兀，不耐煩，氣惱都隻是勞倫斯的一部分，雖然是真的一部分，但他畢竟在旅行裏體會到瞭好幾迴滿足、美、靜謐——G也有，盡管沒提醒其性質和勞倫斯的相像），大英帝國子民勞倫斯看到的Sardinia是落後閉塞的，可能和愛爾蘭一樣，意大利農村有snobby的人，有俗人，第一迴坐汽車的人，巡迴商人在地窖一樣的地方烤肉吃席地而睡（無緣無故進入勞倫斯的記敘，他們多活瞭好多好多年，哪怕是以憤恨英鎊太貴，戰爭對意大利不公平的形式）。。。這是一百年前的意大利，大概感覺是淳樸。
