The period from the early works of Hogarth (about 1730) to the death of Turner (1851) was the golden age of British painting, bringing it into the forefront of European art. The main figures are Hogarth, Ramsay, Reynolds, Gainsborough and Lawrence, Blake, Constable and Turner. 评分很多論述只是點到即止，並未深入。對於Constable和Gainsborough等畫家的介紹太泛泛，我甚至沒有找到重點。。。最末章講Turner的段落也比較糟糕，太形而上了有點兒。
