Caroline Roberts is a journalist and author who writes mainly about the graphic arts. She is the co-author of New Book Design, Cut & Paste: 21st-Century Collage, and most recently 50 Years of Illustration. She was the founder of Grafik magazine.

评分总算转回来了，这一圈绕的。读完。从猫的角度看人，人是可有可无，从人的角度看猫，You are my cat, and I'm your human. 哈哈。这本书的阅读方式可以很多，猫是什么样的动物，人画家诗人和猫的故事，或者，以猫串起来的简明绘画史。编者选取作品的范围广泛，从文艺复兴到当代绘画，从“名家”到“素人”，不同国家地区，不同媒介，在一本小画册里看到笔触机理线条色彩等等形式语言的鲜明对比。Christopher Wood 的经历令人唏嘘。最荒唐的事情莫过于，艺术家贫苦困顿，而所谓的收藏家赚的盆满钵满。剥削的形式也很多样。什么跨界，不过是为了多几种生存手段，而艺术表达也因此更丰富充实。
