Ice, ice everywhere. This afternoon would be great for skating, but instead Timothy and Verity Tibbs have to work in a frozen field, digging parsnips for mean Maw and Paw Grimble to boil into bad-tasting medicine. What a life But suddenly it changes, when Lewis O.Ladybug, private detective, brings news from another world. The twins are no longer orphans. Their grandparents still live, prisoners of Raul Owlstone, a mysterious dictator, and his army of stone owls. Now Timothy and Verity have to save their Gran and Gramp--they have to. When they follow the tiny detective over a moonlit path to Other Earth, adventures happen fast. And one day they must climb a mountain to discover a vision of pure magic, hidden under a dome of thick black glass.
