尼爾•蓋曼（Neil Gaiman）

BL 5.7，AR 8.0，Word Count 51706，Lexile 830L。大名鼎鼎的 Neil Gaiman 之作，中譯為《北歐眾神》，但事實上和美國眾神那篇長篇小說不一樣，隻是用短篇故事集重新闡述一遍北歐神話，還附有 Glossary；如果已經讀過《北歐神話 ABC》，就沒必要再讀，那個 Glossary 都不怎麼全麵；文筆也非常簡單，可能比哈利波特還要簡單點，確實好讀；但是短篇故事集良莠不齊，而且人物塑造基本還是沿襲瞭民間神話的荒誕和失真，有時候和一韆零一夜一樣莫名其妙刀起頭落，還不如一些現代改編作品好玩，比如旗幟傳說，奧丁領域和來世神歌等。

Neil the family man, as Odin would have mocked, became the brave warrior who consented to be tied with bonds he knew he couldn’t break. Because obviously the Norse gods are more humorous and human and less edged or reckless than the American Gods.

很迷人的故事，那種迷人竟讓我想起瞭一本久被遺忘的書，《西湖民間故事》。這書是蓋曼迷必須讀的，因為蓋曼作品中屢屢提到的北歐神衹有瞭來源和依托。當然全程腦補的是錘哥抖森模樣的雷神和洛基。洛基在哪裏都是最有趣的角色。結尾是“青山依舊在幾度夕陽紅”的意境瞭。
