著者簡介

Tom King is a comic book writer and novelist, best known for his work at DC Comics including GRAYSON and OMEGA MEN. He often relies on his experience as an ex-CIA agent and experiences during the recent conflicts in the Middle East in his writing, especially apparent in GRAYSON (alongside co-writer Tim Seeley), OMEGA MEN and in SHERIFF OF BABYLON, published under the Vertigo imprint.

Tom King和Mitch Gerads是winning duo--地球人都知道瞭，但這部漫畫卻很難讀下來。不僅因為情節的復雜糾纏，也因為敘事的枯燥無味，可是誰說寫人禍餘波的故事枯燥就一定不好呢？在遙遠的巴格達，沒有人是神，也沒有人能成為救世主，所有人都在試著艱難地活下去。

第一冊收錄瞭期刊1-6，副標題是Bang. Bang. Bang，第一期通過三個場景的三聲槍響，分彆介紹瞭本書的三位主角，故事、節奏、分鏡、作畫、上色是屬於把人下巴驚掉的那種。TK的敘事很有個人風格，他會收集很多小twist的場景，思考齣均勻分鏡的意嚮，等分分鏡、9宮格、重復詞語的方法可以有效地強化小twist的視覺效果，也可以更漂亮地錶達“概念”，你可以把這些分鏡理解為卡佛的標點和短句，絕對不是隨隨便便來的。我承認TK喜歡裝X，但巴比倫警探的第5期，突如其來，像詩一樣，體現齣TK天纔橫溢的編劇水準。

若把巴比倫的陷落歸咎於神的自私，那麼伊拉剋的陷落隻能歸咎於人類。

看完了洪韵（一点儿也不宅）推荐的《巴比伦警长》（Sheriff of Babylon），单行本共两册（上册名为Bang Bang Bang，下册名为Pow Pow Pow，上册的标红关键词是War/Crimes，下册是Shock/Awe），VERTIGO旗下出品，共12卷。非常过瘾，不由对Tom King这位作家，前CIA探员刮目相看。 ...
