By contrast, aleatory systems, including surrealist and deconstructivist methods, tend to prodece unusual shapes that draw a lot of attention to themselves and are usually expensive to build. If a design that can be realized on a low budget is called for, a modlar approach is a promising option.

收集了各种主流、学院可教授的设计方法，并简述其来源、优势和局限，比如geometry & proportion, biomorphic archiecture, performance form, typology, regionalism, parametric design，也提到某些建筑师较特异的方法，比如surrealists，可以作为基础资料，再进行整理。建议根据设计任务、问题而选定一种或多种设计方法，justification。但分类标准不明确，有些混乱，部分案例的解读比较牵强。

介绍的非常惜墨，这个书给我的感觉就是，看过一遍后，知道的理论流派还是知道，不知道的还是不知道。
