This highly illustrated, full colour publication presents a selection of the best day care, elementary, intermediate, secondary and higher educational facilities. Chosen from a competition of submissions by an American Institute of Architects jury of educators and architects practised in educational design, the projects provide all the established services as well as respond to current trends and new developments in the field. The designs address budget constraints, site and climate conditions, safety, accessibility, the integration of technology in the learning environment, etc. Along with photographs, plans and drawings, each project is accompanied by statements from the architect and the jury.
