作為the new yorker的copyeditor,展現瞭不少關於齣版文字的小故事.一些或許在我們看來微不足道的小細節---hyphen的用法/逗號句號分號的區彆/斷句重音的重要性/you and I or you and me---都可以說帶有一定程度的informative but still interesting的感覺.不過,不知道是我的語感遲鈍，還是說口味問題,我覺得mary norris的文風在我看來有點刻意風趣.就是那種,一本正經的人故意和你說冷笑話,你懂她想要錶現的笑點在哪,但是不要笑得齣來…but總體來說,算是不妨瞭解可以增長見聞的讀物吧.

生僻詞太多瞭……不太適閤作為新手讀物

紐約客copy-editor的迴憶錄，有些軼事，穿插瞭不少語法，不過妙趣橫生，一點也不枯燥，讀過之後對梅爾維爾的逗號，艾米莉迪肯森的連字符都充滿瞭嚮往。很推薦。
