羅蘭・英格斯・懷德（1867年-1957年），生於美國中部威斯康星州的拓荒者傢庭。係美國二十世紀四五十年代著名的兒童文學傢。羅蘭從65歲纔開始兒童文學的創作，畢其一生所完成的九本“小木屋”係列小說，現均為世界兒童文學的經典之作。

《大森林里的小房子》和《大草原上的小房子》肯定算是儿童文学的异数。一般儿童读物强调和使用的想象力在这里无迹可寻，槐尔特的写作依靠的是她录像机式的惊人记忆力。（插一句，虽然槐尔特是3岁时生活在大森林里，书商却特意让她说成5岁，以免过于惊人的记忆力让读者怀疑故事...

这本是ZLL买给她儿子滴，不过老少皆宜，老大不小的我一样看得撒不开手。 撒不开手的原因是书里从头至尾，从冬到秋，分别写了各种原始的美食，比如杀死一头猪，这部分怎么做，那部分怎么做，剩下的如何保存，真是丝毫不浪费；如何做南瓜饼；熊肉多么诱人；枫糖吃多少都对健康无...
