蘇・葛拉芙頓Sue Grafton

1940年生於美國肯塔基州，1982年以《不在場證明》（”A” Is for Alibi）在推理文壇齣道，由於書名按英文字母順序而取，素有「字母女王」稱號，以筆下女性冷硬派私傢偵探金絲．梅芳聞名，曾拿過安東尼獎、夏姆斯獎、英國犯罪作傢協會鑽石匕首獎、美國推理作傢協會終身大師獎等。1992年受美國推理作傢協會邀請，主編《推理寫作祕笈》一書，並於十年後的2002年增修二版。2017年因癌癥於加州逝世，享壽77歲。

他研究且教學英語文近二十年，並不定時於個人臉書和部落格發錶懸疑推理文本的評論，其推薦評析、短文等經常齣現於各大齣版品。他也是颱灣懸疑推理作傢，其〈進化的引信〉榮獲第十四屆颱灣推理作傢協會徵文獎首獎，並著有長篇小說《慧能的柴刀》、《跛鶴的羽翼》，以及改編自颱灣著名社會案件的《無恨意殺人法》（即將齣版）。
