著者简介

YAEL BENTOR is a senior lecturer of Indian and Tibetan Studies at the Hebrew University, Jerusalem, Israel, specializing in the areas of Tantra, ritual, and meditation. She is the author of The Essence of the Ocean of Attainments: Explanation of the Creation Stage of the Guhyasamaja, King of All Tantras, translated with Penpa Dorjee (AIBS, 2013). She lives in Jerusalem, Israel.

作者在序言中提到两种学习文献语言的方法：第一种是先完整的学习所有的语法，并搭配零散的例句进行有针对的语法解释，待完全熟练后再去阅读文献材料。第二种是在大概学习语法后直接阅读文献，仅仅依靠词汇的解释，通过“人对语言本能的一种理解掌握能力”来熟悉运用所有语法。尽管这两种方法显然不应过度偏废，但作者却倾向于第二种方法。她结合自己多年的教学经验编写了此书。本书选取了12篇古藏文原始篇目，涉及藏文化特别是藏传佛教史的各个方面。书中除最简单的语法介绍外没有任何其它分析，每篇文章都是白文，仅仅附上了文中生词的词汇表。但重要的是，每个词的释义在当篇文章语境中都是极其精确的，这就大大破除了藏文一词多义的难点，利于循序渐进地积累。的确，再读完5-10篇后，对语法的感觉会不自觉地提升。十分利于初学者学习。
