The Bridal Canopy is the story of a poor but devout Galician Jew, Rob Yudel, who wanders the countryside with his companion, Nuta, during the early nineteenth century in search of bridegrooms for his three daughters. At the heart of this work are the stories and the stories within the stories, which the two travelers share on their journey.
