適閤用來當作入門的書。

學習一樣技術，一般來說有兩種途徑，一是從項目齣發，需要用到什麼學什麼；一種是從技術本身齣發，先掌握體係，瞭解大概，在項目中完善細節。前者實用，但是過程是比較痛苦的，對於像Rails這種處處充滿magic的框架來說尤其如此。所以，瞭解整個框架的體係還是比較重要的。在這方麵，看一本由Rails創始人寫的書估計是最好的方式瞭。可是。。。整本書開下來，為什麼感覺也就“還行”呢？這次看的是原版，不能怪翻譯瞭。好吧，那就是我英文水平有限！

滑板书的缺点 1.缺少版本控制git介绍别的语言可以原谅这个问题但是rails和git的天然联姻使得缺少git介绍成为严重缺点 2.部署方面严重脱节滑板书前三版的部署就不敢恭维第四版毛病依旧 3.TDD 当BDD都成为rails教材的标配时侯这本书还在用 ctrl+F5来做为测试.... 满...

我看过英文原版,可以说,这是外国技术经典书籍翻译最差的一部,难怪上市这么低调.首先是技术落后,说的还是Rails3.0,人家的原书第四版已经更新到3.2了,其次许多地方错漏,术语翻译前后不统一(多译者的问题),感到一点也不用心,model里面比较重要的validate技术也没有提到(原书有),感...

用两个字形容这一版的翻译：灾难！什么慕尼黑Isar工作组？搞得还挺像模像样的，我就不相信这么一本简单的书，这些翻译者就看不懂？我的意思是，如果因为表达能力不足导致译文不够流畅也就罢了，但是最起码得正确吧？作为一本技术书籍，书中很多翻译连内行人看的都是一头雾...

作者试图在一本书里把rails讲清楚，虽然是大部头的书，但基本没有一点儿废话，适合仔细翻看。一个问题是书中代码比较老，建议结合官方rails手册看，一些代码已经有了更好的实现方式。
