非常有意思的一本comparative history。引用了大量一手文献来考察科技和racist thinking之间的关系。

题目很宏大，但是有些时候难以自洽。前几部分有点隔靴搔痒的感觉，仅仅只是描述现象，没能真正思索内在的思想史根源。到最后二十世纪，又不可避免地回到西方中心论的观点，可惜最终也回避了对这种西方中心论的评判，甚至提不出一个替代性的方案。

说要破除偏见，其实自己的偏见就很深，哎╮(╯▽╰)╭
