Laurie Riley has been performing, adjudicating, and teaching harp internationally for over twenty years. Her numerous recordings, books, and videos are standards in the lever harp world. She plays and teaches several types of harps; this book serves as basic instruction for all styles.

Laurie has been featured on NPR's All Things Considered, as well as in concert accompanying The Chieftains. Her music has been featured on American Airlines and on the well-known Narada Collections. Her recordings can be heard on radio stations worldwide.
