著者簡介

尼古拉斯•邁耶（Nicholas Meyer，1945－）

美國著名作傢、編劇、導演。其導演、編劇作品有《星際迷航》係列（Star Trek II 、IV &VI）、《兩世奇人》、《挽歌》、《埃及王子》等。

邁耶寫過三部福爾摩斯續作皆獲得巨大成功，其中《百分之七溶液》（1974）更賣齣200萬冊，成為國際暢銷書，榮獲英國推理作傢協會金匕首奬（1975），並入選美國推理作傢協會（MWA）的百大書單（第65位），在曆史推理榜上排名第三（第一、第二分彆是《時間的女兒》和《玫瑰的名字》）。他親自操刀改編的電影《百分之七溶液》劇本曾獲奧斯卡最佳原創劇本奬提名（1976）。

看瞭三周終於看完瞭這本原版，強烈推薦！案子很簡單，但是裏麵融入很多歇洛剋生活相關的研究結論，甚至鬼使神差地讓他跟西格濛德·弗洛伊德會麵，除瞭精彩的精神分析之外，兩位巨匠一起鏟煤的畫麵實在好笑。最後，對於福爾摩斯迷來說，如果能把這本書的參考文獻全部讀完，肯定大有收獲~

估计福尔摩斯迷喜欢。很一般的情节。不算推理破案小说了。 编造福尔摩斯的家世。文笔也不符合柯南道尓的风格。 在海淀图书馆顺手拿回来看看，居然看完了。 草草看完了

11月4日坐在从重庆往宜昌参加宜马的动车上，目的地尚未到，约3个小时吧，书却已看完，实在是本简单的书，有点像《东方快车谋杀案》，推理并不复杂，反而是故事情节安排得比推理更有趣。买这本书时都想不起为何会知道此书的，买来后光是书名就吸引了小边，所以他先我看完，评价...
