從小到大讀過那麼多為瞭革命，為瞭人民的權益而犧牲的人，他們都是時代的勝利者，像Andrei一樣被還活著的人當做這鬥爭繼續下去的鼓舞。然而Kira是一個徹頭徹尾的失敗者，她沒有被時代包容，沒有被愛理解，把所有苦難看在眼中而無法逃脫，可她做的是許許多多人想做的而不敢做的，說的是許許多多人想說而不敢說的。在邊境綫雪原上的那具屍體什麼都帶不來，除瞭她的自由。

Ann Rand在美國如此之傢喻戶曉，大概是因為她反對著些“什麼”，而這樣的獵奇心態，又最終印證瞭普通美國人對這些“什麼”的恐懼。而生於斯長於斯的我們，看著書裏仿佛翻譯的標語，又是多麼魔幻！
