讀瞭 Reciprocal relation 和 Ising model 2D solution兩部分，加上先前就看過的 Rod-shape colloids的文章，通常前麵幾節原理和數學上的鋪墊，然後最終歸結於一條邏輯，最重要的是文筆簡潔易懂，雖然數學復雜經常同一段推導需要重復幾遍纔能理解。另外這本書在貼齣Onsager發錶的文章之前都會先展示後人的評述和review，非常有助於理解文章的重要性和內裏邏輯，是一本很好的對Ising model早期曆史，電解質，膠體理論等領域在1960s年代發展的入門書籍。
