著者簡介

畢德生（Eugene Peterson）

生於1932年，是加拿大維真學院（Regent College）靈修神學教授，與傅士德牧師(Richard J. Foster)並列北美兩大具影響力的靈修作傢，有“牧者中的牧者”之稱。

1978年起，他一邊牧會，也一邊開始寫作。他認為牧養和寫作是同一件事：都是藉著祈禱、傾聽，來發現上帝在人群中的作為。他的寫作即是牧養眾人；而他牧養教會時，也好似在寫一本書。他的文筆內斂有力，深刻真摯而又能發人省思。
